Salafee-Ikhwaanee, Ikhwaanee-Salafee? Salafee ‘Aqeedah, Ikhwaanee Manhaj?
How correct is the saying that so and so is Salafee in ‘Aqeedah but is on the manhaj of the Ikhwaan [al-Muslimoon]?




Selling books and tapes of those who do not adopt the Salafee methodology
I work with Islaamic cassettes, and I wanted to ask some of the people of knowledge about the responsibility of distributing the tapes of some of those people who do not adopt the methodology of the Salaf.

Is it permissible for the student of knowledge to suffice with the declarations of the scholars of the past as to whether a saying of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is weak or authentic?




Sit for 30 years with the scholars before you write
I do not see it fit for the student of knowledge to rush into writing [books], meaning that he spreads what he writes amongst the people.




Spying on people who want to harm the scholars
Is it allowed to spy on people who want to harm the scholars or callers of the Ummah?




Striving to come to the truth
“… whoever Allaah wants to guide–He expands his breast to [contain] Islaam,”.




Use your brain
When some scholars give a religious verdict [Fatawa] in a certain issue and another group of scholars give a verdict which is the opposite of the first, which one should the common Muslim follow?




Using the word Salafee
Why use the name Salafee?  Is it a call towards a party or a group or a madh-hab (school of thought)?  Or is it a new sect in Islaam?




Was al-Hajjaaj ibn Yusuf ath-Thaqafee a Kaafir?
What is the correct view regarding al-Hajjaaj ibn Yusuf ath-Thaqafee?  Was he a kaafir?




When can a person say, ‘I have established the proof against so and so?’
When can I say, ‘I have established the proof against a certain person?’




Working collectively
Do you hold that the basis of the concept of “collective work” today is an innovation and haraam, or does your criticism (of it) include (only) the errors made in its implementation?




Worshipping personalities and turning away from knowledge (1)
Ask about that which will benefit you concerning those things connected to rectifying your ‘Aqeedah, your worship, improving your manners.




Worshipping personalities and turning away from knowledge (2)
If the scholars differ then it is not fitting that those people around them split due to the division of the scholars.




Worshipping personalities and turning away from knowledge (3)
It is obligatory upon you to ask the people of the message and it is not obligatory upon you to be fanatical/take sides for an individual from these scholars except for the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).




Writing off scholars who fall into mistakes in ‘Aqeedah
Justice is that every Muslim is mentioned with the goodness and correctness that he has, and that he is mentioned with the mistakes that he has.




Warning against speakers who have no knowledge
Warning against native Arab speakers who have doctorates but not knowledge, what of those who have neither doctorate nor Arabic, let alone knowledge?




One Salafee trying to impose his opinion on another
"Your imposition on another to adopt your opinion whilst he is not convinced of it negates one of the principles of the Salafee da’wah."




Hizbeeyah that resembles taking Rabbis and Monks as Lords
Hizbeeyah that resembles taking Rabbis and Monks as Lords besides Allaah.




Prohibition of smoking and advice to Muslims to fear Allaah and seek Halaal sustenance
The Shaykh clarifies the prohibition of smoking, and his advice to the Muslims to fear Allaah and seek Halaal sustenance, and noting the main reason which led to the weakness of the Muslims and the greed of the Non-Muslims over them.




None of the Companions said, ‘I’m a Bakree … I’m an Umaree …’
When the affair became one of partisanship [Hizbeeyah] to a school of thought, each person became partisan to an Imaam and fanatical towards him.
